Is the service manual for the HGR-42 posted online?

Does anyone know if the service manual for a HGR-42 posted online? If not there seems to be several manuals available which is the best or right one for the HGR-42?

When the crawlers were built and sold a detailed operators manual went with the crawler. The reason was a lot of them were sold in very remote locations. Now a  true service manual was never put out by the Cleveland plant. When I worked for a dealer I also had a Hercules engine manual which used the same format as the crawler manual. Myself I would call the Oliver museum in Charles City (or e-mail them) and ask what they have available as a lot of information service wise was provided in serice bulletins and was not published in service manuals. Is your crawler still on rubber? I will get you the phone number and e-mail address Monday if no one else gives it to you.

Thanks for the info. I appears I can easily purchase an aftermarket owners mauual though right? If so which one do you recommend?

Unfortunatly the rubber was replaced with metal tracks.

Since your HGR has been converted to steel tracks all you should need is a regular HG manual.
