Motor Number

 The Motor Number on my Cletrac is 1298581....I see that the Motor Number on the changes is 1285103. for 1947,    Could my tractor possibly be a 1947 ?

Casting date is on the block behind where the mag sits. I read somewhere that machines came out of the factory about six months after that date.

In those days the format was day-month-year...so you have a 1948 HG!
