Hi Guys:  Anyone have a picture they could post of a nice backhoe mounted to an HG.  I like the small size of the HG particularly in the woods.  I would like to use it to dig up small maples and sell them.  I have a Dynahoe A which is built like a battleship but not the machine to be putting around in the woods with, it damages more trees than it digs.  Hope everybody on this site has a Great Thanksgiving!  Snow on the ground here in Great Bend, New York but Sunny! Look for a small tree spade for digging your trees. Using a back hoe for this will distroy to many of the roots and loosen the dirt around the rest of them witch will cause to much stress to the tree. most of them wont make it transplanting that way.

We had an Oliver backhoe on our HG loader years ago, but my uncle has all the pictures. Once I get them from him I will post them and several more.
My gramps Howard van Driest was Experimental Engineer at Cletrac and Oliver Corporation. After the plant closed, he and my uncle started an excavating business, initially using Cletrac and Oliver Crawler tractors. Blake, were not the Oliver backhoes made by Ware?

I don't know, but I presume they were since the loaders were.
