Hello, everyone I am new to this forum,My grandfather farmed with an old cletrac hg when I was a kid.I always wanted one so I went on the hunt.I found an oliver oc3-42,Serial #1who20.It has been sitting for at least 20 years,it is missing the trac & complete undercarrage on the left side,It will also need a grill, radiator,& hood. The enging still rolls & seems to have good compression. The Guy wants 500.00 for it.Is this a good price? Are the missing parts going to cost me more than the crawler is worth?I want one of these little crawlers real bad,no I NEED one real bad. Also is There anyone in the east Texas area with a cletrac crawler?

If someone needs parts that it has the price might be OK---but to buy that and then start looking for the parts to complete it I think it is high.
With a little patience you should be able to find a running one for something in the area of $2,000 or less.
The one in the picture was bought in 2002 for $1850 the way you see it.  The undercarriage is in good shape and I use the tractor as I got it.

Maybe I was lucky, found a complete OC3 parked in a garage 20 years ago and payed around $100 for it. Tractor is in good condition but I havent started it yet, waiting for some parts from Zimmermans. Compression could have been better.
I think its to expensive. Erik
Here it is!
