I used the DDH to unload a BDH that I picked up, it had a bunch of water in it too I guess, it loaded easy over in Seattle when I picked it up (50*) when I tried to unload it a couple days later at home it wouldn't roll....lol good thing I had that big tractor...

Yep,hit it with ether and it will always want some.

Man, I wish I could find a pony motor for mine...takes forever to start the darn Herc
#4
I got some "Ford tractor transmission fluid" It's the same stuff, used it in the rear end and the rollers on my DDH
GL1 is available, not sure if it's the cheapest or not.

I've never heard of this "Screwdriver test"

I get so tired of that question.
If it don't mean anything to you advertise it on craigslist for $250/ton (that's about $1000) and someone will buy it to fix it or part it out.

My favorite is the old "Antique collectible" on Craigslist, that is usually followed by a $5000 asking price for a $500 pile of garbage you'd have to drive half a day back into the woods to get and nothing bigger than a ATV can get to it. (meaning it's frickin' impossible to load and somebody who's grandfather just died is trying to get rid of what grandpa knew was more of a pita to get to than it was worth)

But it is "antique" and if you could move it it just might be "collectible"

Nothing against you Owen, just saying is all.

I'd like to have one like that with a wider blade for cleaning up horse crap over at Ma's place, nice size....just can't bring myself to spend much on a tiny tractor.

Wow!,I hope to have one of my Cletracs looking that good someday!

Well, next time I'm going to just jump on it.
Three DDHs are enough for now though.

I am looking at a BGH,but at $1000 it's still a little high.
#12
Yeah, good idea,I'm still kickin myself over the twin CCU for the TD14 that I saw heading into the scrap yard.
Should have bought it,but figured it weighed prolly 2 tons, that's $500...darn it.
#13
$3500 is scrap price for a 8 ton machine? wow, scrap is high over there.
#14
You'll have a tough time getting anyone here to say anything other than "Grab them!!"

the price would be the deciding factor for me...
#15
I put it on my watch list,if the price stays around $100 I'll buy it,but a scrapper will see it before then.
