A 55 is kind of it's own... Be almost the same as a 40. Both are kinda rare these days... The gas tank could be easily reproduced if need be. I think the shifter would be as well. I have a 55 that has hope or I'd sell you parts!

Hi Carl,

Gee, I think most of the crank pulleys I've ever seen have had a very hard life...

Dad and I with help of our welder pal patched up an intake manifold for an Allis over the summer. Welded a pipe T into it. Only problem seems to be that is has a small leak, and ices up slowly... But when new isn't available you gotta do what you can. Your manifold is looking very nice!

Hi! Those valves are pretty complicated inside. Had mine apart several years ago and I'm thinking we ended up having to use valve lapping compound to re-seat a seat in there. I never looked for parts for them

The shaft that the spring is hooked to. it goes thru the housing on the end of the track frame by the front idler.

Could try turning in the relief valve a turn or two.

Send Earl to get it. Its a 20C sprocket, not sure if its the same...

Pulling up on the wrench would loosen the nut, which should loosen the track. Nothing should keep the track from backing off unless the shaft is seized.

Only thing that would be different is the driving gear in the transmission. Easy to pop it off the donor tractor and put it on yours.

Check with Bill Kycia a couple posts down. Hes looking at parting out an E that would have a water pump like yours. If its in better condition. If you cant get him here, I can get him on the phone, or have my buddy knock on his door!
