HG, OC-3, OC-4 & General / Re: HG Poss Sale
March 17, 2010, 07:38:04 PM
If it is a hg 42 motor it should be a hercules ixb engine the made about 18 hp. I had to sleeve my block because the previous owner ran the machine into the dirt. Sleeves where $125 each installed. I spend something around $1800 to rebuild my engine. Yours may not be as bad. Parts are available.  Where are you located I may be interested in a dozer blade set up. I am in Northern New Jersey. Good luck with what ever you decide. Jeremy

I have a OC3 w/ 3WI loader(in parts) with a TSX403 and I purchased a OC3 crawler  a month ago and notice it also has a bendix carb. I have never seen one in any of the pictures of oc3s or hgs I was thinking it was just something a farmer had around and put it on. I have 2 NOS TSX 455 carbs I hope work in its place. let me know if you find anything else out about the bendix carbs thanks Jeremy

I took my engine out this week. I have the bucket off and raised then boom up over my head with a chain hoist. make sure you work the lever when raising the boom. I just used vise-grips to keep the boom handle locked in the raised position. The only problem I had was broken bolts in the bell housing wouldn't allow the engine to lift up. Other than that I swung the engine right out, Its a little tricky with a cherry picker because of the tracks.
I took the head off and the pistons are stamped .060 so my block my be trash. I'm new at this and just bought it a month ago.

Hey guys, let me say first cool site. I've purchase an oc3 recently and was glad to find this site. I was unsure about buying it until I searched around on the internet and ended up here. I got a 1950(s)? OC3 with Ware loader. I need some help and was thinking maybe you guys had some spare parts around that you'd be willing to sell. I've talk to all the cletrac guys like Zimmerman already but I'm tring  to save  as much money since I'm only 24 and money is limited. well whos money isn't. I'm looking for air intake assembly with the tube that goes to carb. also hood and grill guard, rear lug covers. all help and pointers are greatly appreciated thanks.
